Corrugated Cardboard Wine Box for Single Bottles
This is the box you want when the bottle has to survive a courier van, a warehouse rack, and a customer's front step. It's a single-bottle corrugated mailer with a built-in honeycomb cushion. The bottle sits inside a paper structure that absorbs knocks and drops, no foam or bubble wrap required. Wineries, brand retailers, and gifting companies use it for red wine, champagne, and other glass bottles. It ships flat, so you're not paying to move air. And because it's paper, your customer can recycle it without a second thought. Custom printing turns it into a branded shipping box that does double duty as retail packaging.
- Honeycomb cushioning inside. The built-in expandable honeycomb structure grips the bottle and absorbs shock from all sides. It replaces foam inserts and bubble wrap.
- Ships flat. The box folds down before filling, so it takes a fraction of the volume of a rigid box. That cuts international freight cost per unit.
- Recyclable paper. Corrugated cardboard and honeycomb paper are both easy for the end user to recycle. No mixed materials to separate.
- Full custom print. Logo, colour, and design are all yours. We handle plate making, printing, and die-cutting to your artwork.
- One bottle, many uses. Fits red wine, champagne, brandy, and similar glass bottles. Works for retail shelves, weddings, holidays, and subscription shipments.

Customisation
You can set the box dimensions to your bottle, choose the corrugated grade, and print your logo or full design on the outside. We match Pantone colours and hold black, deep blue, and burgundy with extra care. The honeycomb insert is cut to your bottle profile. Add a divider for multiple bottles or a handle cut-out if needed. Blank and printed samples are available before mass production.
How the box is built
The body is corrugated cardboard, which gives it enough rigidity to hold a full bottle without flexing. Inside, a honeycomb paper structure expands to wrap around the bottle. That honeycomb layer is the real workhorse: it deforms on impact, so the glass doesn't have to. The whole thing is die-cut to fold flat for storage and shipping, then erects in seconds when you're ready to pack.
Because there's no foam or plastic insert, the box stays a single-material paper package. That matters for your customer's recycling bin and for your own waste stream. We print directly on the corrugated surface or on a facing paper, depending on the artwork and the finish you want. You can order a blank sample first to check the structure, then a printed sample to approve the visual before the production run.
Bottle fit and our checks
The honeycomb insert is cut to your bottle's profile. We take the dimensions or the actual bottle sample, then adjust the die-cut so the bottle is held at four points: base, body, shoulder, and neck. No unsupported neck. No sliding shoulder. We run our in-house checks on every new structure: shake the packed box for ten seconds and listen for movement, tilt it to 45 degrees and watch for slide, then invert it and confirm the bottle does not release. Our control tolerance for the insert is plus or minus 1 mm. If the bottle moves in any of those tests, we recut the insert before you ever see a sample.
Where it works best
This box suits wineries selling direct to consumers, online wine shops, and brands doing holiday or corporate gifting. It's also a fit for subscription boxes and promotional mailers where the bottle is the product. Because it ships flat, it's a sensible choice when you're importing boxes in volume and freight cost per unit matters. It's the wrong choice if you need a luxury unboxing moment: a rigid magnetic box or a leather bag does that job better. But when the requirement is protection at a reasonable cost, with a recyclable end-of-life story, this corrugated honeycomb box is hard to beat.
Buyer questions
Will this box protect a bottle without any foam or bubble wrap?
Yes. The built-in honeycomb paper structure expands around the bottle and absorbs shock. We test every new structure by shaking the packed box for ten seconds, tilting it to 45 degrees, and inverting it. If the bottle moves, the insert is recut until it passes.
Can I get this box printed with my winery's logo?
Yes. We print directly on the corrugated surface or on a facing paper. Send your artwork, and we handle plate making and proofing. A printed sample is available for approval before the full run. Pantone colour matching is standard.
How does flat-pack shipping lower my cost?
The box folds flat before the bottle is inserted. That means a pallet holds far more units than it would with pre-erected boxes. Lower volume per unit means lower freight cost per box, especially for sea or express shipments.
