Customisation

How it's made

The shell is premium faux wood-grain PU leather wrapped over reinforced MDF. That gives the box a rigid frame with a soft, tactile surface. The leather is embossed, not printed, so the grain has depth. The curved ends are part of the structure, not an add-on. They create the barrel shape and add corner strength.

Inside, the lining is soft flocked velvet in chocolate. It's glued to the MDF, so it won't shift. The dividers are fixed in place. The snap-straps are leather with secure snaps. The handle is anchored with brass hardware. Latches keep the lid closed. The whole box measures 355 by 315 by 98 mm.

Bottle fit

Two standard 750ml bottles sit in separate compartments. The dividers keep them from touching. The leather snap-straps wrap over the neck or shoulder, depending on bottle shape. Once strapped, the bottle stays put. We check the fit with our in-house tests: shake the loaded box for 10 seconds and the bottles don't move. Tilt it 45 degrees and they don't slide. Invert the box and they don't release. The straps and dividers work together to hold the bottle at four points, so there's no unsupported neck or shoulder.
