Single Bottle Foldable Cardboard Wine Box with Ribbon Handle
For a single 750 ml wine or champagne bottle, this foldable rigid cardboard box provides crush protection and a premium UV-textured finish, with size, color, print and handle fully customizable to your bottle and brand. The board is rigid cardboard, so the bottle stays protected in storage or on a retail shelf, and the UV printing gives the surface a textured feel that reads more premium than a flat litho print. A ribbon handle makes it easy to carry, and it looks right for corporate gifting or a champagne display. We build it as part of a box-and-bag set or on its own, because it holds up better if you're tired of flimsy folding cartons that crush in transit.
- Rigid cardboard, foldable design. The board resists crushing during storage and transport, and since it folds flat, you save space in your warehouse and on the truck.
- UV texture printing. Not a standard gloss but a tactile finish, which adds depth and makes the box feel more expensive in hand.
- Ribbon handle. A single ribbon handle is comfortable to carry and looks neat, unless your brand needs a different handle style, and then you can spec that instead.
- One bottle, secure fit. The single-bottle structure is sized for a standard wine or champagne bottle and needs no extra foam insert.
- Full OEM/ODM. Size, color, print, and handle are all customizable when we work from your dimensions or a bottle sample.

Customisation
Size, color, print, and handle style are all open, so you can match the box dimensions to your bottle, use your brand colors, and print your logo or artwork with UV texture. The handle can be a ribbon, a twisted paper cord, or a die-cut opening, and we can add a foam or paper insert if you want to hold the bottle more snugly. Before mass production, we'll send a blank sample for structure approval and a printed sample for visual approval.
How the box is built
Because the body is rigid cardboard rather than a thin folding carton, it has enough strength to hold a full bottle without bowing at the side walls, and the corners stay square when it's erected, which matters if you're stacking boxes on a retail shelf or in a gift set. Being rigid, the board also takes UV printing well. The ink sits on the surface with a raised texture, so the design doesn't look flat or cheap.
The structure folds down for shipping, and that cuts your freight cost and storage space. When you need it, you fold it into shape and it locks with no glue or tape involved, while the ribbon handle attaches through reinforced points so it won't tear out under the weight of a bottle. If you plan to ship the box with the bottle inside, we can run our in-house drop test to check the handle and corners.
Bottle fit and carrying
The box is designed for one standard wine or champagne bottle, sitting upright with side walls tall enough to cover the neck, so you don't worry about the bottle rattling around. We check the fit three ways: shaking the box for ten seconds with no bottle movement, tilting it 45 degrees with no sliding, and inverting it with no release. If you're using a non-standard bottle shape, send us a sample and we'll adjust the dimensions. While the ribbon handle is comfortable for hand carrying, it's not meant for heavy stacking or courier abuse, and for that you'd need a shipping box instead.
Where it works
Because the box can be part of the presentation, it suits wine and champagne gifting, corporate events, and retail displays, especially for wineries selling single bottles at the cellar door or brands wanting a premium unboxing moment. The foldable design also works for promotional kits where you need to store hundreds of boxes without taking up a pallet of space. If this isn't the right choice for your needs, consider: for multi-bottle sets or shipping wine through a parcel network, this box is not suitable. The rigid board protects against minor knocks, but it's not a corrugated shipper, and so you'd pair it with a corrugated outer or choose a different structure if the box goes straight into a courier van.
Buyer questions
Can this box hold a champagne bottle with a wider base?
Yes, though the dimensions need adjustment because a standard champagne bottle is wider than a Bordeaux bottle. Send us the diameter and height, or a sample, and we'll size the box accordingly. Having a slightly larger footprint, the foldable structure can accommodate it, but the handle position may need to move.
Does the ribbon handle hold up if I carry the box for a long time?
Reinforced at the attachment points, the handle won't tear out under normal hand carrying. But when you expect heavy loads or repeated swinging, it's not designed for that. For long distances with multiple bottles, a different handle style, like a die-cut grip or a twisted cord, would be better.
Can you match a specific Pantone color for the box?
Yes through Pantone matching for the print. Dark colors like black, deep blue, and burgundy are harder to hold consistently, so we do a first-article approval and mid-run sampling, and if a specific brand color is yours, send the Pantone number and we'll match it on the UV print.
