Why sample-based sizing matters

An insert cut for one bottle often will not accept the next batch. Overall height, maximum diameter and filled weight drive the tooling. Send us a physical bottle sample or full dimensions, and we build the insert around it.

Insert design and hold checks

The insert holds the bottle at four points, with no unsupported area at the neck or shoulder. Our check is simple: load the bottle, shake for ten seconds, no movement; tilt to 45 degrees, no slide; invert, no release.

Board and facing paper

We use 1200 g greyboard, 1400 g recommended for spirits, with 157 g+ specialty or coated facing paper. We do not use recycled greyboard, which collapses, or high-moisture stock, which warps.

Structures for spirits

Rigid lid-and-base gives the strongest ceremony but is bulky. Magnetic flip-top suits shelf display and repeated opening; magnet position precision matters. Foldable rigid ships flat and feels like rigid when erected.

Finishing and in-house checks

Dark facing colours, black, deep blue, burgundy, carry hot-foil best. Before packing, we run a 1.2 m six-face drop, stacking simulation with 40 kg or more top load for 24 hours, and truck and sea vibration simulation with no internal movement.
