Why the double-door opening works

A double-door structure exposes both labels at once. That matters for corporate gifting because the first view carries the message. The inside of the doors becomes a printable surface. You can use it for origin, vintage, serving notes, or a client-specific message without crowding the bottle.

Card pockets change door alignment

One structural detail is worth planning early. Card-pocket layers affect door alignment. A pocket built close to the closing edge lifts that door once a card is inserted, and the two doors no longer meet evenly. We move the pocket's fixing layer away from the closing edge so the card adds no thickness at the seam.

This will not show up on an empty sample. We check closure with the actual card fitted. The same box body often serves several corporate clients with only the card changed, so this detail repeats across orders. That is why we plan the pocket before tooling.

Board, wells and divider

We build this box on 1400 g greyboard with 157 g textured facing. Inside, a velvet-lined EVA insert holds two bottles in separate wells. The wells sit at the shoulder and base, with a divider between bottles. Two-bottle boxes should never rely on insert friction alone.

How we control consistency

We hold colour with Pantone matching, first-article approval and in-run sampling. Black, deep blue and burgundy are the hardest colours to hold across a run, so we watch those closely. Magnet strength is matched on both doors. Our control tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm on inserts and plus or minus 2 mm on the box body.
